Duke University
is located in Durham,
North Carolina and is the fourth largest city in the state with
over 200,000 residents. It is part of the Raleigh-Durham-Chapel
Hill area known as the Triangle, widely considered the main cultural,
educational, and governmental center between Washington, D.C., and
Atlanta, Georgia. Within the Triangle is Research Triangle Park,
a 5,400 acre research complex closely linked with the local Universities.
The population of the entire Triangle area is well over one million.
